We are truly not alone.

The phrase you are not alone is commonly used and fact is, it's true we are not alone and the company we hold is within us.

Very early on in our lives we enter situations that need to be taken in, in some extent. It can be the state we are in when in a parents arms feeling warm, loved and safe, or the state we are in when treated unfair, or that when we are deeply engaged in drawing a picture or treading pearls on a piece of string.

All the states we can find ourselves in has it's own personality, as if it is a person of its own. One can think of them all as children in a school class. They are all different in personalities and skills.

The children within us are created by us and have the sole purpose to do an excellent job in specific situations protecting us and making our lives better.  Now, some of these little fellows are doing a great job and some not so much. This has to do with how they came to be, so if they do not do a great job it's not their fault. And whatever the reason is for a state to do a less good job we can talk to the state and find out what it would rather do and who can take over the executive role.

To work with states is very satisfying. They are so happy to be heard and seen and the process is often a liberating one where deeply hidden feelings, values and thoughts can surface and be understood.
